Hello, I am trying to track down a (former) member of one of the BF bowling clubs or a member of his family in connection with a story we are hoping to do for BBC Scotland’s news programmes. George Ross owned a pigeon called Winkie which becamse famous for its part in the rescue of an RAF crew during the Second World War. It’s the 70th anniversary of the rescue next week. afternoon last year to have a “look-see” and managed to leave a US presidential coin
(John Adams) with you.
This year would we have a chance to bowl if we showed up on the afternoon of Monday
20 August? I’m being date-specific to tie it in with our stay in Arbroath and the fact that
we’re planning to play in the weekly “hat” at Baxter Park Mon evening.
